I am sure you know Bolland &Bolland. Bolland & Bolland from Holland!
You may know them of them being the producers of the Falco hit Rock me Amadeus.
And they also wrote You're in the Army now which was the last hitrecord for Status Quo.

They also had a string of hits in the early seventees/eighties in Holland. I think you will like them

Mouth & McNeal! Now you may actually know them because they came second in the Eurovision songcontest ones. They lost from some Swedish group of hippies called Abba....wonder what ever happened to them.
Anyway ,Mouth & McNeal had a string of hits in Holland before splitting up and both going solo. The reason for parting was that they couldn't stand each other anymore...no that is not right; they absolutely hated each other. Pure and evil hate if ever there was hate!

So solo they went....Now Maggie McNeal (or Sjoukje Spijker as we know her) had a great voice ,did well. Mouth (Willem Duyn) went all Dutch ,had a few hits and unfortunately died a few years ago.
Maggie McNeal did not attend the funeral as far as i know

    Anne Murray anyone?

By the way, this one reached the No.1 position in the brazilian charts.

    And finaly a Dutch tune:

In the 60's you had the Shadows, we had John Woodhouse.
Not with a Stratocaster guitar but a magic accordeon. A French built accordeon with an unique sound.
    And one very big hitrecord:
